Periodic controls/inspections are the controls are the controls required to be performed at least twice a year after putting the elevator into operation as per “Elevator Operation, Maintenance and Periodic Control Regulations” published on June 24, 2015. Elevator Operation and Maintenance Regulations aims to determine the rules to be obeyed for the operation, maintenance and annual controls to ensure safe use of the elevators utilized to carry people and/or loads in a way that environment, and health and safety of human and living creatures are not threatened.
Your maintenance company (a maintenance company with complete competency and compliance certificates) can get periodical controls done for your elevators by applying to a Type A inspection body athorized by the municipality that you are bound to.
Periodic control of elevators are performed by the staff of a Type A inspection body who got undergraduate degree in the related department (e.g. mechanical engineers, electrical and electronic engineers and mechatronics engineers) and completed the detailed theoretical and practical education about periodical controls of elevators.
Red label is a label attached to unsafe elevators detected to contain the incompliances that pose high risk for safety of your life and property and required to be eliminated immediately, following the tests and controls for your elevators made by the control engineers. If such incompliances of the elevator with red information label cannot be eliminated within 60 days, this is notified to the municipality that you are bound to, in order to retire it, and your elevator is sealed and closed to operate. Follow-up control for the unsafe elevator with red information label attached is performed thirty days after the delivery of the periodical inspection report to the relevant body, superintendent and assembler of the elevator or authorized service of the elevator.
In follow-up control, assignment of an expert control engineer is enabled for the annual control of the related elevator as far as possible.
This label is attached to the elevators that were found to be faulty and pose risk for the safety of your life and property after the tests and controls carried out for your elevators by control engineers. Follow-up control for the faulty elevator with yellow information label attached is performed 120 days after the delivery of the periodical inspection report to the relevant body, superintendent and assembler of the elevator or authorized service of the elevator.
This is the label is attached to the elevators that were found to be slight faulty and pose faulty risk for the safety of your life and property after the tests and controls carried out for your elevators by expert control engineers. Follow-up control for the slight faulty elevator with blue information label attached is performed two months after the delivery of the periodical inspection report to the relevant body, superintendent and assembler of the elevator or authorized service of the elevator.
This is the label is attached to the elevators that were found to pose no risk for the safety of your life and property after the tests and controls carried out for your elevators by expert control engineers.
Periodical control/inspection fees of the elevators vary depending on the regions as part of the protocols made with the municipalities. You can learn the periodical control/inspection fees from a Type A inspection body that signed the protocol with the municipality.
I have already paid monthly maintenance fee for my elevator. Why should I pay for the periodical control/inspection?
Monthly maintenance fee is paid by the maintenance companies in return for the service given for monthly periodical maintenance and repair. Inspection controls should be completed by an independent audit as part of the new regulations and legislations to detect the missing materials or the necessary manufacturing works.
How do I understand that the company that will perform the periodical control/inspection of my elevator is authorized?
The companies that will perform the periodical control/inspection of your elevator are type A inspection bodies accredited based on TS EN 17020 standard. You can see the accreditation documents of these institutions from the web sites of Turkish Accreditation Agency (http://www.turkak.org.tr) and the relevant companies.
Elevators do not have constant and definite prices. They change according to features of the building to be built and of the elevator. A new design and accordingly, a suitable pricing can be made depending on the building class, and capacity, speed, door type etc. of the elevator.
How can I determine the number and features of elevators to completely meet the need of my building?
An Elevator Traffic Calculation should be performed in line with the usage area of your building and number of floors during your project. This process will be clarified after an Elevator Project is drawn according to Elevator Traffic Calculation. Concept projects should be absolutely drawn by an engineer with SMM certificate in an elevator company or offices of Electrical and Mechanical Projects who is authorized in elevators.
It is the right time to make an agreement with the elevator company following the end of the rough construction and when plastering process is started. Plastering and coating works of the door sides of the elevator on platforms will not continue and your work flow will slow down if assembly is not performed.
Projects are drawn after relievo process following the agreement. First, rail door is assembled. If construction works of the machine room are completed, motor of the machine can be installed. After the above works are finalized, assembly process is suspended to allow for the performance of construction and renovation works. Renovation of the door sides and flooring of the platform are completed and then installation of the cabin frame which is called trim works and the other works are performed.
