CLP Oakland Airport Connector

Explanation

DCC’s new Cable Liner, which takes about 8.5 minutes to travel, connects Oakland International Airport to the BART public transport network. The new compacted loop system officially developed by the DCC entered service with passengers on 22 November 2014. The Cable Liner consists of two guide paths on the line. Specially designed for the compacted loop system, the rail scissors at the entrance of the terminal ensure that a train of four trains pass to one another. The trains operate simultaneously with four cable trains drawn from the central station (Doolittle). Each of the three vaginal trips is air conditioned and each one is equipped with state-of-the-art informative entertainment system. Doppelmayr Cable Car GmbH & Co KG also received the Oakland Airport Connection operating contract over the next 20 years.
