400-FUL Ocean Express

Explanation

Garaventa has created a funicular inspired by Jules Verne at Ocean Park in Hong Kong, one of the world’s greatest theme parks. During the three-mile long tunnel, the passengers are given the feeling that they are in the famous Nautilus, deep into the sea. Funicular is a key element of the Ocean Park Main Rebuilding Project. As well as having an attraction in itself, the new installation links the Quay and the Peak on opposite sides of the park. Both trains with two wagons can carry 5,000 passengers per hour and the maximum speed is 10 meters per second. A backup of the funicular motor is also available to ensure high availability.
